The mega projects in Cox’s Bazar Moheshkhali are set to transform the region into a power hub, with significant numbers backing their impact. The deep seaport, capable of handling large cargo ships, will become a vital trade and commerce center. With 97% of the SPM project completed, it is expected to save Tk 800 crore annually and can carry 1.2 lakh tonnes of crude oil within 48 hours. The two operational LNG terminals re-gasify 1,000 mmcf of gas daily, and a third terminal is approved to handle 600 million cubic feet of LNG per day. These projects promise job opportunities, improved infrastructure, and a boost to Bangladesh’s GDP growth.
