The newly appointed NBR chairman under the Yunus Administration has expressed strong opposition to the amnesty or legalization of black money. He argued that such measures undermine honest taxpayers and promote corruption. While acknowledging that the interim government has the authority to make changes, he noted that he doesn’t have the final say on the matter. He also mentioned that he held the same stance during his tenure as Secretary in the previous administration’s Finance Division.
