The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has commenced groundwork for the fiscal year 2024-25 budget, inviting proposals from business entities and organizations across Bangladesh. In an effort to create a participatory, pro-people, and industry-friendly fiscal policy, the NBR urges business associations to submit their budget proposals by February 8, 2024. Discussions with various groups, including trade bodies, professional organizations, research institutions, and think tanks, are deemed crucial to formulating meaningful and representative fiscal measures. Proposals can be sent to the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI). The new finance minister is expected to unveil the budget proposal in early June.
