The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will launch its online tax return submission portal. This portal will enable e-services such as opening E-TINs, preparing and submitting tax returns, and printing tax return copies. Additionally, taxpayers will be able to access copies of electronically filed returns from the previous year.
According to NBR, approximately 526,000 taxpayers submitted their returns online for the fiscal year 2023-24, nearly doubling the 244,000 returns filed the previous year, indicating a growing interest among taxpayers. Â Individual taxpayers will be able to register online and file their returns for the tax year 2024-25.
