The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will launch the National Single Window (NSW) in March 2025 to streamline business processes by reducing procedural delays. The NSW will integrate 110 certifications and permissions from 19 authorities, announced NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan at a dialogue in Dhaka. A masterplan for fully automating NBR services is also being developed. Speakers at the event emphasized reform priorities, including a 10% VAT rate, rationalizing fiscal policy, and boosting foreign direct investment. Suggestions included leveraging circular fashion to save $9 billion in imports and ensuring tax justice and quicker NBR services for businesses.
