Grameenphone, faced network issues across the country. Users reported being unable to make calls through the Grameenphone network. The problem lasted for over half an hour, which resulted in a storm of complaints posted on social media sites like Facebook. A Grameenphone official, requesting anonymity, attributed the network outage to a technical glitch. The issue was resolved by the company’s engineers immediately, but the exact cause of the glitch remained undisclosed.

This wasn’t the first time Grameenphone experienced a network outage this year. In February 2023, customers faced a similar disruption due to damage to fiber-optic cables at multiple locations in the northern regions of the country that lasted for around 2 hours.
