The Norwegian State Secretary of Foreign Affairs conveyed this interest during a meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs in Oslo. The discussion covered various bilateral and regional issues, including trade and investment cooperation in ship recycling, the Blue Economy, the Rohingya crisis, and climate change. The state minister expressed gratitude for Norway’s development cooperation over the past 50 years and acknowledged their humanitarian assistance to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Both sides emphasized the importance of women empowerment and gender equality, and potential cooperation in harnessing marine resources and deep-sea fishing in the Bay of Bengal was also explored.
