NRB Bank is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) aiming to raise Tk 1 billion through the fixed-price method. The subscription period extends until February 1, 2024, with the bank issuing 100 million ordinary shares. Of the IPO proceeds, Tk 920 million will be invested in government securities, Tk 42 million in the secondary stock market, and Tk 38 million for IPO expenses.
General investors need a minimum investment of Tk 50,000, while non-resident Bangladeshis require Tk 100,000. The bank reported a net asset value per share of Tk 12.72 and earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 0.27 for the nine months ending September 2023. UCB Investment and Shahjalal Equity Management serve as joint issue managers. Once listed, the NRB Bank will bring the total number of listed banks to 36.
