Pran Plans Tk 600 Crore Poultry Investment by 2027

Industry: Consumer & Retail, FMCG, Poultry & Livestock
Company: Pran RFL Group

Pran, a leading agro-processing giant, is investing Tk 600 crore over the next two years to expand its poultry business in Bangladesh. The investment includes the establishment of four advanced egg farms in Noakhali, Shariatpur, Chittagong, and Mymensingh, with a combined daily production capacity of 20 lakh eggs. Additionally, the company will allocate Tk 400 crore for these farms and Tk 200 crore for breeder and broiler farms. These advancements aim to meet the growing demand for eggs and chicken as production costs remain a challenge, particularly for small farmers who face higher production costs. Pran’s state-of-the-art automated facilities, equipped with temperature control and minimal manual handling, ensure consistent year-round production. This expansion is expected to create nearly 2,000 jobs while supporting sustainable growth in the poultry sector.
