PRAN to produce Boro and Maize

Banga Millers Ltd, a subsidiary of the PRAN Group, has begun procuring Boro paddy and maize from farmers under contract in various parts of Dinajpur. The procurement was inaugurated by the lawmaker of Dinajpur-5 constituency and the Executive Director of Banga Millers, at the PRAN factory in Dinajpur. PRAN handed out Aman paddy seeds to the farmers during the event, and will provide Aman seeds to 1,800 farmers this year. Banga Millers plans to procure 5,220 metric tonnes of paddy from 2,200 acres of land, grown by 4,500 farmers across Dinajpur.

It will also procure 4,500 metric tonnes of maize from 1,100 acres of land. The Marketing Director at PRAN-RFL Group said that PRAN has been working for a long time to improve the quality of agricultural products and raise the standard of living of farmers. He added that PRAN has over 100,000 contractual farmers across the country who are producing a variety of products.
