Prime Bank Neera has entered into an agreement with Wander Woman, a prominent female-centric travel platform in Bangladesh. The partnership offers several benefits to Prime Bank Neera customers, including up to 10% discounts on guided tours, service charges for trip bookings. Wander Woman merchandise, and up to 20% discounts on hotel bookings within Bangladesh through Wander Woman. Additionally, credit card holders will have access to a 36-month 0% EMI facility.

Wander Woman, which has been facilitating travel opportunities for women since 2017, is known for both international and local travel experiences. The agreement was signed by Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank, and the Founder & CEO of Wander Woman. This collaboration aims to enhance travel experiences and financial convenience for Prime Bank Neera customers, especially women.

NBFIs’ Loan Interest Rises to 13.18%

In response to inflation concerns, the central bank of Bangladesh has raised the lending rate for non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) by 25 basis points to 13.18%. The interest rates on deposit collection for NBFIs have also increased by 25 basis points to 10.18%, effective from November 30.

The move is part of the gradual liberalization of the interest rate regime, incorporating the six-month moving average rate of treasury bills (SMART). Under SMART, banks can impose a 3.75 percent margin.
