QSL.S Garments to invest $19.5m in Mongla EPZ

Chinese firm QSL.S Garments Co Ltd is set to invest $19.5 million in establishing a ready-made garment (RMG) factory at the Mongla Export Processing Zone in Bagerhat, Bangladesh. The fully foreign-owned company plans to produce 6 million pieces of woven and knit garment products annually, including shirts, T-shirts, jackets, pants, and shorts.

This investment is expected to create job opportunities for 2,598 Bangladeshi workers. The agreement for this venture was signed between QSL.S Garments and the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA). This move reflects the ongoing interest of foreign companies in Bangladesh’s thriving RMG sector, which is known for its cost-effective production and skilled workforce.
