Robi Axiata reported a robust financial performance in 2023. The company’s revenue surged nearly 16% to Tk 99.42 billion, with profits soaring 75% to Tk 3.21 billion. Robi declared a 10% cash dividend for 2023, the highest since its listing in 2020, amounting to Tk 5.24 billion. It added 4.30 million new subscribers, reaching a total of 50.87 million, representing 31% of the country’s mobile phone subscribers.
Robi maintained its leadership in 4G services, covering 98.8% of the population with over 16,800 4G sites. Additionally, 61% of Robi’s subscribers were 4G users, and more than 76% were data users. In 2023, Robi contributed Tk 56.61 billion to the national exchequer and invested Tk 19.03 billion in capital expenditure. The company emphasized the importance of regulatory reform to facilitate further industry growth. Robi’s successful IPO in 2020, the largest in Bangladesh’s capital market history, raised Tk 5.24 billion for network expansion.
