To meet rising summer demand, Bangladesh’s RPGCL has issued tenders for three spot LNG cargoes for April 1-2, 12-13, and 14-15 delivery. Further tenders are possible for April, the hottest month. Each cargo will contain approximately 3.36 million MMBtu. This follows the purchase of four March cargoes, with the latest awarded to Excelerate Energy LP at $14.30 per MMBtu for March 25-26 delivery. Current gas supply is around 2,888 mmcfd, including 991 mmcfd of re-gasified LNG, against a demand exceeding 4,000 mmcfd, as of March 14, leading to gas rationing.
