Runner Automobiles rebounded in FY24’s second quarter with 49% revenue growth, reaching Tk216 crore from Tk145 crore in the same period in 2023. The company reported a profit of Tk64.57 lakh, contrasting with a Tk26.56 crore loss in Q2 of 2022–23. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk0.05. The unaudited half-yearly financial statement revealed reduced losses at Tk27.36 crore for July–December in 2023 compared to Tk35.49 crore in 2022.
Runner attributed the positive results to robust three-wheeler sales, especially the revived Bajaj RE network. Despite industry challenges, strategic planning and a focus on electric scooters and specific motorcycle categories contributed to overall growth. In 2022–23, the company incurred a Tk87.90 crore loss and did not declare dividends.
