Rupali Bank Limited, a state-owned bank, has introduced a Shariah-based Islamic banking window alongside its conventional banking services to expand its business and boost deposits. The launch event was attended by prominent figures including the Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance.
This initiative aims to diversify the bank’s offerings and cater to customers seeking Shariah-compliant financial services. Initially, the Islamic banking window has been introduced in 11 branches, including the Rupali Sadan Corporate Branch and the Purana Paltan Corporate Branch, with the goal of reaching a wider customer base.
