State Bank of India (SBI) has provided Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems to salinity-prone areas in Chattogram, Bangladesh, through Shakti Foundation. This initiative aims to address the critical issue of saline water in coastal regions, as part of SBI’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. The donation was marked by a cheque handover to Shakti Foundation, with several key officials from both organizations present. This initiative is expected to significantly improve access to clean drinking water in affected communities, helping to mitigate the adverse effects of saline water on health and livelihoods.
