Standard Bank Ltd has introduced an international remittance service in collaboration with bKash. The agreement, signed by the managing director and CEO of Standard Bank, and the chief commercial officer of bKash, took place at the bank’s Dhaka head office.
This initiative enables Bangladeshi expatriates worldwide to transfer funds to bKash accounts in Bangladesh through branches of banks and exchange houses with a remittance agreement with Standard Bank, including Standard Express USA and Standard Exchange Company, UK. The signing event included key figures such as the deputy managing director and head of IRM at Standard Bank, and representatives from various departments of both organizations, emphasizing the expansion of convenient international remittance services for the Bangladeshi diaspora.
