Switzerland has teamed up with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to provide over $2.2 million for adolescents, youth, women, and girls in Rohingya refugee camps and marginalized host communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char. The program, expected to impact over 130,000 individuals, aims to address challenges like gender-based violence (GBV), access to sexual and reproductive health services, and mental health support. Targeting 64,000 women and girls, the initiative also includes life-skills training, educational sessions, and leadership development for 33,100 adolescents. The project focuses on empowering communities and fostering a brighter future for participants.
