The Bangladesh Poultry Association president, Suman Howlader, has accused corporate companies of artificially inflating chick prices by 30 Taka each, resulting in a 540 crore Taka profit over 60 days. Despite government-set prices for eggs and chicks, companies raised prices, harming small farmers and destabilizing the poultry market. Howlader urged the government to take action against the syndicate, enforce price controls, and support small farmers to stabilize the sector.
