The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a significant rise on the first working day after a political change. Trust Bank led the market, topping transactions and becoming the highest gainer with a 10% increase in share price, rising by Tk 2.60 to Tk 29.20. Trust Bank’s total transactions amounted to Tk 48 crore with around 25 million shares traded. Uttara Bank followed in transactions with Tk 44 crore and a 6% increase in share price, up by Tk 1.30. The DSEX index surged by 197 points, or nearly 4%, to 5,426 points. Total market transactions reached Tk 750 crore, the highest since July 10. Trust and Uttara Banks contributed to 12% of the total transaction volume.
