United Commercial Bank (UCB) has compelled 40 officials, including senior executives, to resign due to alleged irregularities. The bank’s management warned that further job terminations could occur, with an additional 150 officials likely facing similar actions. This follows the dissolution of the previous board by Bangladesh Bank after the fall of the government. The new management cited evidence of involvement in anomalies, suggesting more resignations will follow pending audits.
