Recently, the Veola brand has merged with Rupchanda in Bangladesh. Previously operating independently under Shun Shing Edible Oil, Veola’s sunflower oil products were well-established in the market. With the merger, both companies now consolidate their operations under Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited (BEOL). This strategic move aims to streamline production and enhance market presence, combining Veola’s brand recognition with Rupchanda’s extensive distribution network. The merger, approved by the Supreme Court on June 3, 2024, ensures that all business and operational activities of Shun Shing Edible Oil in Bangladesh now fall under BEOL. Veola’s production facility in Mongla and BEOL’s plant in Narayanganj’s Rupshi area will now operate under a unified entity. This merger is expected to strengthen BEOL’s position in the competitive edible oil market of Bangladesh, leveraging combined resources for greater efficiency and market penetration.
