Walton Contributes Tk 3.93 Crore to Workers’ Welfare Fund

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has contributed Tk 3.93 crore to the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Foundation Fund from its profits in the financial year 2022-23. This payment, mandated under the Labour Act, constitutes 5 percent of the company’s net profit, supporting the Participatory Fund, Welfare Fund, and Workers Welfare Foundation Fund. Each Walton employee received Tk 19,838 from this contribution, with immediate disbursement of Tk 11,903 and the remainder held in the Welfare Fund. The cheque was presented to State Minister for Labour and Employment Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury by a Walton delegation, demonstrating the company’s commitment to employee welfare and statutory obligations.
