Walton has been awarded the prestigious Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Award-2022, securing the first position in the hi-tech industries category. The award acknowledges Walton’s significant contributions to the national economy and the industrial sector.

Criteria for the award included annual turnover, manufacturing of import substitute products, utilization of locally sourced raw materials, employment generation, CSR activities, proper land use, and environmental protection. A total of 12 industrial units, including Walton, received the award across six categories. The initiative, organized by the Industries Ministry, aims to recognize and incentivize contributions to the industrial sector. The first prize winner received Tk3 lakh and a golden crest weighing 25 grams of gold. Second and third prize recipients were awarded Tk2 lakh and Tk1 lakh, respectively, along with corresponding golden crests.
